Dream Makers
Hi everyone,
Just like I promised Julie here is her page about Dream Makers. I gotta say its one of the best reads of short stories I've read in a long time. I especially like the ones about fairytales with a different twist. I can't forget "The Sewing Box" a heart rendering story about a mother who can't give her children Christmas. Will there be a miracle? I'll leave that for you to read. Have you ever wanted to keep that safe feeling? Then you've got to enjoy "The Safe Place."
The picture of Julie is on the right.
Dream Makers is an anthology of eighty stories and poems written by thirty-three authors. The book is illustrated by Sherry a talented artist that gives you a refreshing view with the authors writing.
Each story is less than two thousand words. A fun book to take anywhere including the grocery store while waiting in line, at the park, on vacation. Oh yes, and don't forget that a book like this makes a wonderful gift for family and friends-birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, re-unions and so much more.
Julie tells me the book costs 14.95 and is four dollars and ninety five cents for shipping and handling. I bought one for Peg and one for my dear friend, Juan.
The book was compiled by Val Dummond
You can pay for the book at paypal using her e mail address julie@jrjennings.net or e mail her and get the address so you can send a money order.
Oh for the sake of Zeus, I almost forgot to tell you all how pleased Julie is with her sixteen year old son, Peter. He has his first poem published entitled "Nothing is Impossible." He really has a growing talent and it's wonderful to see teens aiming for high goals.
Anyhow, you go ahead and get this book. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Julie's spirit guide-A swan
I'm sure you're all familiar with the story of the Ugly Duckling? He felt he had no friends because of how he felt about himself, later though, he grew into a handsome/beautiful swan. From there he was graceful, proud and able to stand up for himself. Sometimes, Julie says, it takes something like a swan to show us who we are.
What is a swan spirit guide? Well, Julie tells me it is an animal that shows you the chareteristics you need to grow with. And we all have our own areas of improvement. I know I do even with my degree in art science, being a curator, trading antiques and all those kinds of things. I think when we say we are bored or know everything is the time we allow our spirit to die.
Oh goodness, did you see that butterfly just land on the flower? Mom has started a greenhouse and I hope to bring her new plants for her birthday.
Julie when she gets stressed listens to meditative music, nature music, and does a lot of store walking or park walking. Maybe I should do more of that too. Hmm. Smile
Julie likes to have reminders of her spirit guide around. She has had some beautiful pictures above her computer of swans swimming in a pond and little glass blown swans on top of her moniter. She tells me that what she would like now is a waterfall with a swan or two that is a musicbox at the same time. I wish her luck. Never seen anything like that. Personally, I like good luck charms, icons of what people believe are mythology, and in my secret drawer I have old coins that I collected in Greece, and Egypt, but my very favorite thing is the picture of Juan on his twenty-sixth birthday. I've worn it out just looking at it. If anyone knew they'd think I was a silly school girl. I'm not. Please don't tell. Thanks.
